Time on General Hospital

Jeff has been on General Hospital for several years now and when he doesn’t have screen time, he is missed.  To this day I still flash back to his scenes with his on screen half sister Laura (Genie Francis) where he tries to make her understand just how broken he is and how he ended up holding Trina and her mother hostage in their condo. He started on General Hospital during the pandemic and helped keep viewers entertained just enough so they forget what was going on around them for just a brief time.

What‘s next for Jeff on General Hospital

Kober’s bad guy persona as the criminal Cyrus turned Zen big brother to Laura and Martin who’s Mama didn’t love him makes you want to forgive him.  His recent scenes with his TV screen nephew Spencer were wonderful.  We want to see more of him in Port Charles, not behind bars.  Writers need to let this man out of jail. He can catch the Hook Killer, take down Victor Cassadine and make the streets in Port Charles safe for his sister to Mayor again. Get to it writers.

This episode of State Of Mind

Maurice Benard interviews the phenomenal Jeff Kober on State of Mind

This episode was everything we expected it to be and more.  To listen to these two men converse about life was a moving experience.  We can without doubt state that this episode is one of the best in Maurice’s catalog of great episodes.  It stands right up there with Maurice’s interview with Tyler Christopher.  We all should do a lot more “Living in the Moment.” People should live their best lives and one way to do that is to truly not care what others think of you. We can’t stress enough. This is a must see and if this is your first time viewing STATE OF MIND, make sure to hit the subscribe button.

On a personal note about real life Drama

As a human being I have survived being forced to give up my first child for adoption at the age of 15. I am a domestic violence survivor and have learned to live in the moment. Without discovering how to do that in my 20’s, I would not have made it to now. I should also mention that General Hospital helped me survive my time in a home for unwed mothers. All the pregnant teens watched it while crocheting baby blankets for our babies at 3:00 p.m. in New York.

All the ABC soaps helped me survive brutal moments in my life.  Turning on the television took me out of my misery and into Pine Valley, Llanview and Port Charles for just a bit. Those brief respites helped prevent what would have been my suicide. I often wonder if the actors on these soaps are aware of how many lives they’ve saved.  I would say probably not.  Let me take this opportunity to say “Thank you for helping to save my life.”
