Firstly, Dennis French is a Canadian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Music has been a lifelong passion of his. Growing up in Scarborough Ontario, Dennis took an interest in music at the young age of 9. It was then when he began experimenting on the piano and soon after drums, guitar and vocals. By the age 12 he began to write. He co-founded his first band (The Garfield Band) by the age of 18. The band was signed with Polygram Records out of Chicago in the mid 70’s. Further, they went on to release 4 albums, and were also nominated for a Juno Award. Since the bands split in the mid 80’s Dennis has been writing and singing solo.

French is a co-founder and drummer for iconic Canadian band Garfield. Garfield was nominated for a Juno Award. Dennis ventured into his own singer-songwriter career as a solo-artist, writing songs about the battles and lessons from his life. He suffered a stroke that cost him some of his vision recently, and overcame it even stronger. Above all, Dennis writes from the heart. Those heart songs are about overcoming adversities and so much more. In addition, you will hear songs about about love, and about real life. In short, French’s songs are catchy and lyrically driven.
