Kin Herbert Shriner was born on December 6, 1953. He is an American actor, best known for his portrayal of Scott Baldwin on the ABC soap opera General Hospital and its spin-off, Port Charles.
Shriner and his twin brother, actor Wil Shriner, were born in New York City to Eileen McDermott and Herb Shriner. His father was a popular television personality. The brothers were orphaned when their parents died in an automobile accident when the twins were teenagers. After, the brothers moved to Texas to live with their grandmother.

Writing of the role of Scott Baldwin would be one of the stupidest things that the writers of General Hospital could do. Scott Baldwin has been a constant carrier constant person on the show for a long time. He’s a good actor, and the show will not be the same without him.
Hundreds of tweets were directed toward Frank Valentini, regarding Scotty being let go from GH. Did Frank reply? NOPE! This just further proves to me that the fans and the actors do not matter to the people in charge unless ratings tank. GH has been my daily ritual for 45 years and party of that ritual has been seeing Scott Baldwin. There are truly only Laura, Tracy and Ned from the good ol days. Keep your people show them some gratitude for building the foundation which is GH. Writing him off is a disrespectful travesty.
I’ve been a fan for well over 50 years..please do not write Scotty out! He is an important part of the story, it will be a huge mistake to do so..we have had enough of the dying off of characters..we need some laughter and love in the afternoon! Scotty brings all of the that to the canvas! Also we are sick and tired of the constant news coverage..you are losing viewers with all the GMA3s and the hour after hour of repeated news coverage..bring back AMC and OLTL and you will have the viewing audience once again!
