All the Young and Restless couples were up close and personal this week. We saw love scenes between the characters of Lilly & Billy and Summer and Kyle.  Before this week, the virus had these couples doing scenes across the room from one another.  Many of the scenes showed one person in bed and one person out leading us to believe there had just been a love scene.

The Bold and Beautiful fans are all talking about the love scene between Quinn and Carter.  The lunch crew is baffled about this hook up for the following reason:  How stupid do you have to be to have sex with your bosses wife and co-worker?  This can only end badly. The halls of General Hospital have been light on the love scenes but this last week gave us Michael and Willow.  This love scene took place on a new mattress on the floor of Willow’s living room. After the love making she took off to say goodbye to Chase.  She found him burning up with fever and passing out. She got him to the hospital and hasn’t left his side.  We are not sure she has even showered.

We also have slow dancing between the characters of Nina and Sonny.  General Hospital is getting a slower start but it is nice to see.

Good ole Days brought fan favorites Sami and Lucas back together for one of their first love scenes since Covid. It was nice to see their chemistry again.  They also allowed Ciara and Theo to get physically close albeit nobody could call it a love scene. All in all it is good to see more physical closeness between the actors.

Many of those scenes in the last 6 months have felt estranged and incohesive.  The Daily Banner lunch crew was about this:  Either put Covid in the soaps to show why all the social distancing. If they didn’t want to do that, then testing a few times a week and vaccinations were the way to go. It looks like they are taking that road and we are so happy love scenes are back.
