Last Call Tour 2022

Country Superstar Alan Jackson is embarking on his final tour. He is calling it  Last Call which is really his laid back style that he has demonstrated his entire career. You won’t find a guy who is more laid back and fun loving than Alan.  Read on for more about Last Call for Alan Jackson wrapping up a lifetime on the road.

Why Last Call?

In September of 2021, Alan Jackson announced that he had been diagnosed with a disease he called CMT. This is what he said about it.

“I’ve been reluctant to talk about this publicly and to my fans, but I have this neuropathy – a neurological disease that’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy,” Jackson shared on The Today Show to Jenna Bush Hager. “There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years and it’s getting more and more obvious.”

Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disorder’s and symptoms are similar to muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease. Jackson was really concerned that his fan might think he was intoxicated. He didn’t want that so he came forward so he could explain and do one final tour. This is what he said about that.

“I know I’m stumbling around onstage, and now I’m having a little trouble balancing even in front of a microphone. I’m just very uncomfortable. I was starting to get so self-conscious up there…so if anybody’s curious why I don’t walk right, that’s why. I just wanted the fans and the public to know. I don’t want ’em to think I’m drunk onstage because I’m having problems with mobility and balance.”
