I HAVE A DREAM

Firstly, I have heard Ed Roman’s music before. It feels sort of like running into an old friend on the street and saying howdy in the middle of nowhere, it’s kind of an enjoyable unexpected occurrence in everyday life. Read on for Ed Roman’s “I Have A Dream” song review by Dashal Jennings.

WARM AND SNUGLY

The song, “I Have A Dream” just feels right. However, it’s sonic-ally off if you put it with today’s radio hits. I liked it though even though it seemed to lack the high end we are used to in today’s market. Yet still it feels warm and snugly like an old blanket. I have a feeling they were going for an analog feel. And if that is the case they nailed it.

HARMONY HEAVEN

The harmony vocals in this song seem like they were a match made in sonic heaven. There are harmonies that are okay, there are harmonies that are technically right and then there are harmonies that take this song to another level. This song has all of the above.

UNPREDICTABLE

The lyrics and chord changes are unpredictable and has a bit of a Robert Allen Zimmerman feel to it. Some people know him better by his stage name, which is Bob Dylan. And to clarify, I am not saying it sounds like Dylan but the feel and the sonic texture  makes it feels like Dylan.

MAD GENIUS

The lead guitar show bits of mad genius too as is weaves in and out of the lyrics and various sundry chords that make up the song. In short the song has moments of greatness spliced into what is already an incredible musical journey.

IN CONCLUSION

I have a feeling that as you turn the song to play that you will go in to a 1960 trance and find yourself letting you mind wander. Your senses and aural canals should be most enjoyably refreshed by the way Ed Roman weaves his tale throughout the whole musical journey.
