ABC Cancels Nashville

ABC cancels Nashville on the heels of rumors that the nighttime soap was getting renewed.  ABC has cancelled its hit TV show Nashville after 4 seasons says Soap Opera Digest.  Will the viewers find out what is going to happen to Maddie now that Cash is running her life?  Will Deacon and Rayna be able to fix what is wrong in their marriage and family?  Will Juliet get her hubby and daughter back?  Would anybody care if Luke’s record label folded?  The character of Luke Wheeler should have left the show when Rayna showed him to the door last season.

ABC cancels Nashville so even though the show was doing great in the ratings the first couple of seasons but perhaps their was just to much of something or not enough of something happening in the show to keep it going for another season.  Perhaps the outspoken Connie Britton expedited the decision when she voiced her opinions about transgender bathrooms.  Maybe the show constantly threatening to leave the city of Nashville and take it somewhere else if it didn’t get additional funding yearly left a bad taste in even the most loyal followers/viewers mouth so they just stopped watching.

Whatever the reason, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that that soap has been cancelled and that the final episode will air on May 25, 2016.  Will the viewers care enough to start contacting ABC to bring the show back?  Only time will tell.  This may be a case of a show actually killing itself.
