Soap Opera’s have historically been trend setters. This last month, many of the female actresses on daytime have been sporting white nail polish. Is this art imitating life or life imitating art?
Many fashion trends have been kicked off by soaps, heck many fans even started naming their children after characters on soaps, think Erica, Kendall and all the Ashley’s that were born in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
For a while the favorite nail color seemed to be black but this past month white has been the popular color. The question would be, is this some fashion started outside of the soaps or is this fashion statement started by the soaps? Do you like the white nail polish or would you like to see the actresses go back to wearing normal color nail polishes on your soaps? Do you find it distracting?
