Patrick was so overcome with emotions at his sweet surprise birthday party that he goes and proposes to Sam right then and there.

It sure looked and felt like family to the Daily Banner crew.  The lunch crew was yelling, “Say yes Sam, say yes.”  It is not that the lunch crew doesn’t think that Sam and Jason/Jake should have a chance to be together because they should.  However, Sam and Patrick have something very real as well.  They have created a family including Anna (which is a bit strange but cool.)
